I recently come across an article by Liam Tung from C-Net that I wanted to share. It speaks volumes about what the future may hold for us in the network security area. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Keeping ahead of the bad guys is a like a game of Whack-a-mole. I came across an article written by Liam Tung of C-Net, entitled Kaspersky impressed by botnet slickness. What he is referring to is the Conficker worm. Eugene Kaspersky if you are not familiar with him is the founder of Kaspersky labs. They make a great anti-virus product. Mr. Kaspersky has a degree in cryptography, computer sciences and he is very knowledgeable about viruses and cybercrime. For somebody with his caliber to say, I am impressed with the kind of work that the bad guys did in creating that thing, really speaks volumes in how we have some serious problems in the security field coming right now and particularly some of things in store for us in the future.
